Manpower is representing a client in the Ft. Pierce area that is seeking a Fiberglass Laminator to join their team!

Duties:

  • Develop engineering prints showing lamination schedules, fiberglass patterns, core locations, and insert locations.

  • Standardize nomenclature, lamination schedules, and documentation.

  • Develop 2D Fiberglass patterns and 2D core patterns from 2D & 3D geometry

  • Reverse engineer & digitize existing 2D patterns or parts.

  • Name, nest & generate code for fiberglass material cut on Eastman.

  • Work closely with lamination both in production & engineering regarding designed laminates, and the communication necessary to produce it.

  • Audit construction and documentation package for pre-production parts. Prepare documentation package for Production Release Package.

  • Develop and maintain bill of material for all laminated parts.

  • Participate in resolution of ECN and CAR issues for production

  • Coordinate photo documentation to prepare Work Instructions

  • Serve as a go to person concerning all splashes and fixtures for lamination

  • Coordinate with Outfitting Specialist to document locations and specify materials for all backing plates, hinge supports and special coring applications.

  • Assist with the validation of all new materials pertaining to fiberglass production.

  • Coordination and documentation of all new composite material into the production system.

  • Assists maintaining accurate BOM’s for all new & current boats and CAR’s

 

Requirements:

  • To be eligible for this position, an individual

  • Must be proficient in 3D CAD software, digitizing hardware. 

  • Must be proficient in mathematics, including algebra and geometry.

  • Must be very familiar with FRP processes, materials, & methods.

  • Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and use of company-wide standard software programs such as Microsoft Word & Excel

  • Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Previous lamination experience helpful.


Pay rate: $12/hr.
